Devoted to modern art from the beginning of the 20th century onwards, the vast and airy Ludwig Museum is most famous for its Pop Art collection, the largest outside the United States. Other treats include early 20th-century Russian and Soviet art and a few pieces by Picasso. The museum also puts of temporary exhibitions from the great and the good including at the time of writing a superb Dali retrospective.
