Wooden planks as you walk down a steep set of stairs make you feel like you are entering the belly of a whale. One of the largest cellar bars in Frankfurt with large clay pots that hang from chains over your head, and massively long wooden tables that ensure you will get a chance to chat with your neighbours, in a variety of different languages, as this is also a foreigner hotspot. Food and drink are self-service, but the prices are relatively low. Great for winter goulash and stews, and it has a gigantic traditional German beer selection.
